The main artery running north to south is Route 40. We can see some alternative routes branching off Route 40, such as Provincial Route 71 through <b>Los Alerces National Park<\/b> and Provincial Route 83 through the <b>Manso River Valley<\/b>. These roads allow us to get off the paved road and explore the mountain range or the steppe in depth. To the east, in the steppe area, we can see a section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patagoniabiketrips.com\/en\/excursiones\/patagonia-beer-trail-by-tanelli-roininnen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;Patagonia Beer Trail&#8221;<\/span><\/a> that connects the towns of Dina Huapi and Mait\u00e9n. Patagonian steppe. The steppe is the predominant climatic and geographical zone of Argentine Patagonia. <b>Rainfall is scarce and the winds are strong<\/b>, so cycling in these areas requires certain precautions and planning. The queen of the steppe routes is called the &#8220;<b>Patagonia BeerTrail,&#8221; <\/b>or the beer trail, and runs from San Mart\u00edn de los Andes to El Bols\u00f3n, passing through the three most important beer-producing centers in the region. East of Bariloche, we find shorter circuits, such as <b>the Chacay Loop<\/b> or the rural road to <b>Cerro Buitreras<\/b>. The distance from Llao Llao in the west and Dina Huapi in the east is almost 60 kilometers. To the west, we can visit the famous <b>Circuito Chico<\/b> and Lakes Moreno Grande and Moreno Chico. Another area frequented by cyclists is <b>Cerro Catedral and Lake Guti\u00e9rrez<\/b> to the south. To the east, we can pedal to the <b>Limay River<\/b> following a network of secondary roads and bike paths. If you prefer less-traveled routes,<b> the Arroyo Bernal loop<\/b> is a beautiful rural road great for cycling. These two mountains offer a privileged location for mountain biking. The variety of trals is remarkable. Almost all of the routes are for advanced or expert riders. Some of these MTB circuits have hosted national and international DH championships, such as the <b>Shimano Open, the IXS Downhill Cup<\/b>, and the Enduro World Championship. Bariloche&#8217;s most famous trail, known as <b>La Paco<\/b>, begins at the base of Catedral Hill. Newer circuits such as <b>Bravo <\/b>and <b>Chimanguito<\/b> are frequented by local riders between the months of October and April, when weather conditions allow this At the foot of the historic town of <b>Colonia Suiza<\/b> are the 1,700-meter <b>Cerro Goye<\/b> and the 1,800-meter <b>Cerro Bellavista<\/b>. These two mountains have mountain bike trails that will take you to another level. You can pedal to the summit with an <b>e-bike<\/b>. If you want to climb on a conventional bike, be ready to push the bike. Both hills are connected by a ridge, and you can descend along the same ascent path or via exclusive bicycle trails. We recommend an enduro or full-suspension trail bike to enjoy these trails.
