FLY TO BUENOS AIRES

To get to San Carlos de Bariloche from North America (USA, Canadá o Mexico), Europe (Spain, Germany, Holland, France, Belgium, UK or Switzerland) or South America (Brazil, Colombia or Uruguay) First we have to fly to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

This city is the largest and most important in Argentina and receives more than 3 million tourists a year. From Buenos Aires, you can easily connect with a flight or bus to Bariloche.                                We recommend the plane, since it only takes 2 hours, and the bus takes around 20 hours. There is an average of 5 flights daily from Buenos Aires to Bariloche.

THE AIRPORTS. EZE AND AEP

Buenos Aires has two airports: Ezeiza Mininstro Pistarini (EZE) and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP). The distance between these two airports is 45 kilometers.

Ezeiza (EZE) is located on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. Aeroparque (AEP) is located in the heart of the city, facing the Rio de la Plata. Most international flights land at EZEIZA Airport. Domestic flights to Bariloche operate from both airports.

PAY ATTENTION TO WHICH AIRPORT YOUR FLIGHT LANDS AT

Flights from Europe, North America, and Central America land at Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini (EZE).

Some flights from bordering countries such as Chile or Brazil may land at Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini (EZE) or at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP).

TRANSFERS FROM EZEIZA (EZE) TO AEROPARQUE (AEP) OR BUENOS AIRES (CENTER)

If your flight lands at Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini Airport (EZE) and you need to go to Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP) or downtown Buenos Aires, you have two options. You can take a taxi or a bus. Taxi can cost between 40 and 50 us dollars.

The bus fare is approximately $10 per person. Buses depart every hour and take an hour and a half to complete the journey. Buses do not run at night.

Remember that there are no trains or subways connecting the airports, Therefore, you should take into account bus departure times and possible delays due to highway traffic. You should allow at least two hours for the trip between the two airports.

TRANSFERS FROM BARILOCHE AIRPORT (BRC) TO THE CITY CENTER

Bariloche airport is called  Teniente Luis Candelaria (BRC). It is located 15 kilometers from the city center. The trip from the airport to the city takes approximately 30 minutes. There are no trains or trams, so you must take a bus or taxi to get to Bariloche. A taxi can cost between $15 and $20 dollars.

The bus costs less than $1.

The bus frequency is poor. It runs every hour and a half. The bus line number is 72. You can ONLY pay for the bus with a SUBE card. If you don’t have one, you’ll have to ask a passenger if they can pay for you in exchange for money.
