Mountain biking is an individual sport, but when it comes to trail building, teamwork prevails. Marvelous landscapes, incredible mountains, and a harsh weather. Some call it the end of the world, for others this place is home.
In this far away land, a dream destination for mountain biking is appearing, it´s called Patagonia. This unique region is crossed from north to south by the Andes Mountains, and there we find the city of Bariloche.
The city of Bariloche is calling the attention of cyclists around the world due to its great potential for mountain biking development. It has a strong community of riders and trail builders.
This community is as diverse as the landscape. From professional mountain bikers to weekend warriors, family and friends, everyone is united by the same passion. Together as a team, they manage to tame the wildest terrains.
The Bariloche mountain bike community has already established a clear path, providing a shared direction and unifying goals to build their dreams.

Every little bit means a lot to us. MTBariloche is a non-profit organization. We are driven by the passion for cycling. We work year-round to build new lines and improve existing ones, both for local riders and tourists who visit our place.
Our mission is to build a place where children and young people can progressively learn the sport with different levels of trails, promoting mountain biking and motivating future generations.
This is how MTBariloche is defined. If you’re a tourist or a local and enjoy Bariloche’s mountain biking trails, remember to follow us on social media and contribute, so this project marks the beginning of a new era in mountain biking in Bariloche
MTBariloche was founded in 2020 by Pablo Seewald and Facu Descalzo, with the help of Cepi Raffo. The first challenge was getting bike trail users to contribute to the maintenance work and the opening of new lines.
“At first, all the work was self-funded, with the group’s time and resources. Fortunately, the Bariloche mountain bike community responded enthusiastically, and confidence in the project grew. To this day, MTBariloche survives and grows thanks to the monthly contributions of hundreds of enthusiasts. The foundation is already solid; now we look to the future with optimism and a desire to continue growing.”
Bariloche’s mountain bike community has laid a solid foundation for this emerging mountain biking paradise. They are writing the first chapter of mountain bike history in this remote corner of the world.
This 8-minute short film, featuring epic shots, surreal landscapes, and plenty of adrenaline, was filmed in Bariloche. Through its example, it shows us how to build a strong MTB community, which will serve as a foundation for the sport’s growth in the future.
