Mountain bike trails. San Carlos de Bariloche is a city located in northern Argentine patagonia that offers a wide variety of circuits for mountainbiking. Some of these mountain bike singletracks are used for downhill MTB championships and international Enduro MTB competitions. In this section we share the .GPX tracks of each loop, followed by the description, altimetry, gradient, location and difficulty of the trail.

THERE ARE 4 TYPES OF MTB TRAILS THAT CORRESPOND TO 4 CATEGORIES OF BICYCLES:

XC

Mountain bike trails or tracks that can be done with a cross-country hardtail bike with front suspension. They tend to be physically demanding.

TRAIL

SIngletracks of intermediate difficulty, suitable for full suspension mountain bikes with short travel, usually 120mm or 130mm

ENDURO

Singletracks that require a full suspension mountain bike with a lot of travel, on average about 150mm. These circuits usually have technical climbs and steep slopes with obstacles.

DH

Downhill trails are difficult. They may have large jumps or gaps. DH bikes are not designed for pedaling uphill. Normally you ascend by vehicle, by chairlift or pushing your bike.
